South Asia’s largest dancing fountain was inaugurated in Bahria Town, Karachi, on Sunday.
Speaking to the audience at the inauguration, Chairman Bahria Town Malik Riaz Hussain said that Pakistan was among the most beautiful countries of the world, but received fewer tourists than other countries in the region.
“To portray a beautiful and safe Pakistan is the aim of Bahria Town and the fountain symbolizes this dream,” he added.
There are more than 250 fountain jets, 180 height-jets, two water scanners, 350 LED lighting projections, laser and flame throwers in the fountain.
The fountain is designed by renowned designers who have also designed Singapore’s Santoza Fountain, Shanghai’s Disney Land Park, France’s Futuro Scope, Dubai Fountain and Dubai Canal.
The project head said he enjoyed working on the project with the team. “This is an addition in the tourist attraction of the mega city,” he added.
A resident of Bahria Town Anwer said the fountain was fascinating. Another resident said that Bahria Town Fountain could be compared with any fountain of the world.
Ali, an art student, who came from Hyderabad to attend the inauguration, said, “Bahria Town is best in all aspects.”
